Bernice Dewey

Ziegfeld showgirl Bernice Dewey first appeared in the chorus of the 1916 hit "Century Girl," and her solid dancing secured her a spot in the 1917 Follies. She toured in the road version of the Follies through 1918, before returning to New York and a place in the 1919 Follies. Her brief stage career then ceased. In 1930 she was working as a designer in Manhattan. David S. Shields/ALS
